Beyond the Studio – CAMD Co-op Speaker Series Flyer

Client: Northeastern University (CAMD Co-op Program)

This project involved designing a promotional flyer for the CAMD Co-op Speaker Series, an event focused on exploring alternative career paths for creative professionals beyond traditional studio roles.

The primary challenge was organizing multiple speakers, credentials, event details, and program branding into a clear and visually engaging layout. The design needed to appeal to design students while maintaining professionalism and readability.

Key design considerations included:

Clear visual hierarchy to distinguish the event title, theme, speakers, and logistics
Typographic structure to manage dense informational content
Balanced composition to avoid visual clutter
Consistent alignment and spacing for a polished, institutional look
Emphasis on theme (“Beyond the Studio”) to reinforce the event’s purpose

I focused on creating a layout that guides the viewer’s eye naturally from headline to speakers to event details, ensuring the most important information is immediately accessible.

This project strengthened my skills in typography, grid systems, and information hierarchy within event-based design.
